*raises hand* laziness! I am still exploring, though. I checked out an abandoned trailer park (do three trailers and a bunch of cars count as a "park?") and the sort-of-abandoned-but-also-currently-for-sale race track outside Bolivar. Oh, and a junkyard that's not abandoned, but might as well be. |

| It just went down a day or two ago. The blog script was hammering the server so our site host disabled it. I'm working on getting it back up. I suspect something (a spammer?) was hammering the script over and over, maybe to spam comments or something, which made it get all heavy on the server. |

Last I checked on the blogs, the spammer comments were getting out of hand.
But, I think I do need to re-read the smokestack death trip.

That's what's causing it. We got massively spammed in the comments on all the entries.
All those individual comments have to get pulled from the database every time a blog entry loads and it was causing big server load so our host disabled the blog until I can get them deleted and the comments disabled so they can't do it again. |

Blog should be back up in a day or two, whenever our host gets around to re-enabling it.
I just deleted about 10,000 spam comments. Each post had hundreds and hundreds of spam comments. It was insane, the most retarded stuff. Handbags, baseball caps, ugg boots, etc.
Whatever happened to the good ol' days, when spammers just wanted to enlarge your penis and sell you porn? |
