Abandoned Warehouse in north Tulsa

Post by Fiend »

I have been by this place in the past, but never thought to investigate. Today I walked around it taking pictures, and I didn’t realize how big of a warehouse it is. As I walked around it, I couldn’t find a way in, someone had done a very good job of boarding it up and putting locks on the doors. I generally don’t physically “break in” to places. I like to find a unlocked door, open window, access it from the roof, or something of the sort, but I could only find one possible way in. It was conveniently hidden from view, but it still didn’t look easy to get in. I would have to climb a fence, get over barbed wire, then climb through the side of the building. Needless to say I didn’t go in, because I was a little crunched for time, and I knew I could have spent forever in this place. I did manage to find a couple of small holes in the side of the building to look through and take pics. From the little I saw, there was some cool stuff in there, and what caught my eye was several old fork lifts. So, having said that, I will go back soon.

Awesome! I dig the shot of those stairs high above the ground.
From what it looks like to me is there might still be some activity every once while.
Any fresh tire prints to any of the entrances?

I didnt think to look for tire tracks... But I couldnt seem to find any evidence of recent activity. I may go drive by there this week to see if its used during a work day, because I took these pics on Sunday.

I was driving around downtown on wednesday and found this warehouse. It was about around 4pm. Nobody was around it and there was no sign of activity outside. I saw a dog on the north end laying under the "hurricane" graffiti and wondered if this structure is ocasionaly used by the homeless. I also noticed the other structure just north of it seemed interesting. However a small work pickup came from the back of it and headed toward me. I had my girlfriend at the time and she got spooked and told me to leave. Ill have to come back and check it out again sometime.

The building to the north is still in use. And I think that dog lives out there, because I came across it the last time I was out there. There is a small hobo village behind that warehouse, but I'm pretty sure no one is there anymore. I think I'm gonna attempt going inside the warehouse this weekend. Anyone care to join me?

You walk by it all the time? No offense but dang girl, I'd find a different exercise route if it were me.

Ok, an update... Last time I checked (several weeks ago) this place was very active with construction equipment and tons of supplies. So, not abandoned, atleast for now.
