UE on Reddit

Most people have heard of Reddit, but if you've never taken the time to explore the ridiculously large world of Reddit you might not realize just how many awesome subtopics they have.

Here are some I know you guys will love. Keep in mind content or comments may be NSFW but it's usually marked if it is. Reddit is known to be heavy in trolls, but most of them troll the general population or the really popular subreddits. These more specialized ones don't get too much troll attention. Also, you can enjoy the pictures and articles without reading comments.

Reddit has quite a few urban exploration and abandoned places sub-forums which are awesome.

I've been subbed to /r/urbanexploration for quite a while now, and they're a much better community than some I've seen on the internet. Always a bunch of great image sets and discussion.

/r/AbandonedPorn sort of annoys me though, because it sort of turns into a circlejerk of, "Hey, here's Pripyat guys!" all the time. Still great pictures, but could be better.

I hate reddit's layout/navigation to the point that it was one of those sites I always ignored. But I thought I'd go ahead and try to comment on this thread but there's no reply button. What gives? Is that how you tell if a thread is closed or something?

I can't say for sure what you'll see if you are not logged in with an account, but if you are logged in and the thread is still accepting comments, the box where you enter your comment will be near the top.

The thread you linked is apparently closed/too old to comment on as I don't have the option when logged in.

ok that's what I was figuring, but it took forever for me to track down an actual thread and not some link to an external site. I was even googling how to reply to reddit threads before I just clicked around long enough to figure it out. Damn reddit.

I don't like the reddit format at all either. It reminds me of the newsgroup boards from the early-mid 90s.
