I just picked up a copy of The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins today. Can't wait to get home and read it.

I just finished 'The Average American Male' by Chad Kultgen, 'I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell' by Tucker Max, and several others.
Good stuff.

"My name is Tucker Max, and I am an asshole. I get excessively drunk at inappropriate times, disregard social norms, indulge every whim, ignore the consequences of my actions, mock idiots and posers, sleep with more women than is safe or reasonable, and just generally act like a raging dickhead. But, I do contribute to humanity in one very important way: I share my adventures with the world."Spinner wrote:'I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell' by Tucker Max, and several others.

Reading my 1990-1993 Acura Integra Manual so that I know what parts to buy when I do my suspension over-haul in the next 3-4 weeks.
After that its rear brake discs and pads then new timing belt, then "Colorado here we come".

We are all just sloguns waiting to have our triggers pulled.

Tell me how you like it. That was one of those books I started reading one evening and finished around 5 AM...GlassCurtain wrote:Just started Thr3e.
I prefered his "Black", "Red" and "White" Trilogy.
Currently half way working on "Problem of Pain" by C.S. Lewis. I need to find a good book to read...

I started two new books over the weekend. The first is "Animal Farm" by George Orwell. I've always heard a lot about it and found it at a used book store on Saturday for $1. Since I am addicted to buying books, I snatched it right up.
And I also caved in to peer pressure and started reading "Twilight" by Stephanie Meyer. I was sucked in instantly and I am really enjoying it. In fact, I should be through with the first book tonight and starting on the second book.

It didn't pick it up. Nothing happened. Bored me to tears. All masturbation without the climax.slow_walker wrote:Rabbit, that book sounds fairly interesting. I hope it picks up for you so that you can recommend it to me.
In fact the only reason I even bothered to finish the damn thing was because I am extremely OCD about finishing a book that I have paid good money for.

Re: The "What are you reading?" thread
Just started "Monster Island" by David Wellington. Doesn't suck so far.
It's one month after a global disaster. The most "developed" nations of the world have fallen to the shambling zombie masses. Only a few pockets of humanity survive — in places rife with high-powered weaponry, such as Somalia.
In New York City, the dead walk the streets, driven by an insatiable hunger for all things living. One amongst them is different; though he shares their appetites he has retained his human intelligence. Alone among the mindless zombies, Gary Fleck is an eyewitness to the end of the world — and perhaps the evil genius behind it all.
From the other side of the planet, a small but heavily-armed group of schoolgirls-turned-soldiers has come in search of desperately needed medicine. Dekalb, a former United Nations weapons inspector, leads them as their local guide. Ayaan, a crack shot at the age of sixteen, will stop at nothing to complete her mission. They think they are prepared for anything. On Monster Island they will find that there is something worse even than being undead, as Gary learns the true price of survival.
