RE: Sigh of relief
if you want cheap parts go to www.newegg.com they have great deals and cheap if not free shipping, and very fast shipping at that.

My friends used Tiger Direct, and after all that I'd heard Newegg was better. Next time though, I'll be checking out Newegg.

Re: RE: Sigh of relief
I found that most of the time they had higher prices than newegg... When it comes down to it, If I am ordering online the only thing that I care about is reliable shipment and the absolute lowest price (shipping cost factored in as well). Customer service is mostly a non-issue there because I'd never call them as long as my package arrives reasonably on time, so I don't really care about top notch CRS as being companies justification for higher prices. If anything, they could fire 1/2 of their CSRs and get a better shipping dept. to reduce their call volumeAnne wrote:My friends used Tiger Direct

That's what I've heard, I must have gotten really really lucky then, because I got my motherboard fro $40 on Tiger Direct. And the processor for I think $50, somewhere around there.youthsonic wrote:I found that most of the time they had higher prices than newegg...
RE: Sigh of relief
For every day pc items newegg is by far the best value and shipping both. Tiger Direct however sometimes has some unbeatable combo/barebones deals and rebate deals. Thier shipping is usually pretty high though compared to neweggs.

RE: Sigh of relief
Man, we barely even had computers in my HS. My friend Hal and I were both these big computer tech aide/lab assistant guys at the time, and Hal thought he knew allll about computers when he went into computer programming at SMS. I think it's fair to say he was proven wrong. Of course, I felt the same way when I started out as an art major and had never even used a charcoal pencil in four years of HS art classes
RE: Sigh of relief
Man, they started out us using Charcoal and crap like that in Sixth grade art, we had to do it every single from then forward. You can imagine how messy we were getting as sixth graders using pastelles and such.

RE: Sigh of relief
So Anne, are you graduated yet?
RE: Sigh of relief
Nope, still have one more year of high school. I'm really wishing I would have graduated early though this year, but hey, at least I'll be able to take College Algebra, Grammer and Comp and then OTC. So all college credit classes for next year.

That's awesome! I'm not surprised though after seeing your comic post on here. I didn't know they had cases like that, course I've never really looked.
