Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.
Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.

Langston Hughes, 1926

I don't think black men in 1926 were considered emos.

Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,
Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;

I approve of both your quote and sig. I recently got a book with tons of other Poe works and they're all pretty excellent.

Yeah, I reread 'The Raven', I haven't since high school, it's way better than I remember. I'm going to have to read more of his work now.

Also, both of those quotes are cut into the new 30 seconds to mars vid for Hurricane (the 13 min long one) that I posted a link to in the "What are you listening to now" thread.

For some reason I really like that video... artistically, not for the nudity.

I didn't get around to watching that video yet. Is it male or female indecency?
