Its a better alternative to terraserver. I like it a lot better.

You can search for an address and in the upper right corner hit satellite. Its pretty cool.

And it is click-and-drag enabled, so no more of that click the arrow and wait for the map to load crap that you get with terraserver

Wow, thanks! Nice satellite maps. Way better than the B/W aerial photos I've been trying to muck with for so long. The only problem is, large areas haven't been properly photographed yet. Hopefully this gets fixed sooner rather than later (or never).

I'm pretty sure these are the same maps used in keyhole. Since google owns keyhole, it makes sense. So, I know they recently announced that since they own a satellitle now, they do plan on expanding their urban area photography.

I heard on the radio about keyhole being its own company at one point. Google bought it up not so long ago and as you predicted, the same information was used for google maps.
