user groups

this may be mainly addressed to WR. I clicked on user groups under the forum button and it said no groups exist. I was just curious what a user group was.

It's where you can put a bunch of users into a group and give the group as a whole certain permissions.

Like, say you had a private forum on here called John's Clubhouse, and you only wanted people in John's Usergroup to be able to post to it. You'd just add whoever you wanted to that usergroup, and then give the group permission to post there.

Not really all that useful, though, when you think about the fact that this site's mostly about sharing the information we've got.
