I know avatar size has to be limited to save space and improve page load time. Also helps to prevent people from using something extremely obnoxious, I suppose.
But I was wondering if there is anyway the pixel size could be increased just a hair. I'm fine with the 10Kb limit, but would love to see the pixel size go from 100 x 100 to 150 x 150. There are a lot of really cute pics I find that just can't be seen clearly enough at the small size required.
I of course know intermediate HTML and very basic CSS, so I have no idea what is involved in changing the limits. Is it is something that is possible to do? If so, would you consider changing them or is there a reason why they have to be the size they are?

Re: Question about Avatars
Yeah, it's an easy change. I would be willing to do it at 150 instead of 100, probably. I've noticed since I started the forum that most sites seem to use bigger than 100 anyway.

That would be so awesome.

Okay. Avatars are not 150 by 150 and 19999 bytes max.

Sweet! You don't know how much trouble I've had trying to get stuff scaled down to 100k. It's one reason I haven't changed my avatar in forever.
