Underground Ozarks is not dead - just in a weird phase right now

Post by UOmoderators »

Please be patient with the site in its current state. We're trying to get some changes worked out and get the site updated and fixed but with the new PHP came a ton of new spambots. We try to get to them when we can, but we're also busy with life so sometimes the shit piles up.

Very sorry for the issues - updates are coming soon. Long live UO.

More online investigation than onsite exploration these days.

Will the link from the main page to WR's blog be repaired soon? I'd like to reread some of his old stories.

That's a good question. I'd think that content broke when the forum version changed, but perhaps WR did something with it...

Both of the Rabbit's blogs can still be viewed on the Wayback Machine.

Apparently the 24 hr limit to editing posts no longer exists. I was able to edit a post from over a year ago.

I ask to make the red notifications on the buttons brighter, I find them hard to see.

I agree that red notification is way too dim. All of the icons in this new theme came with the theme and are simple JPG thumbnails of the original editable artwork someone made. I quickly opened them in photoshop to see if I could just push the red brighter but it immediately pixellated because again they're just tiny jpgs.

I checked and the old rabbit icons still exist on the server but they're pretty small and named completely differently than the files in theme, so it'd take some work to bring them over as I wouldn't just be able to drag them over and have them immediately fall into place.

We'll figure something out and we won't be stuck with these graphics forever, but I've spent the past ~3 days just getting the CSS/HTML/PHP to cooperate as well as it is now and I just need to get up and step away from the computer for a bit.

No worries. I figured it probably wasn't an easy fix and would take you some time. I'll just be old and blind till then.
