Frozen Crystal.com - Helix Drains

Post by Sertile »

I came across a pretty sweet UE today some kids did up north. They call it the "Helix Drain," and it looks pretty ancient. I just thought I'd share it with you all. They have their own site, too, on the Urban Exploration Ring. I'd LOVE to be able to explore this place first-hand. Enjoy!

It is actually calle dthe 'triple helix' drain because it has three staircases, with two of the three reaching the surface.
The first staircase dead ends into brick wall.

I did this drain about a week ago :-)

It's long.. 2.5m RCP for ages!
.. then some smaller shape changes.

Phalon creek is alot better though... and the labrynth 10 times better :-)

The Twin Cities have LOTS of great sites...and we're still discovering more! :) It's unbelievable what soft sandstone under a city can do for exploring.

Do the right thing and check out ActionSquad for all your Twin Cities exploration needs. Max Action would be proud.

Sorry I sold my soul to Max, I have to shamelessly plug him from time to time.

Plug away mate, that's how I got back into all this was through Max. I wish he'd update or post more pictures though because I'm sure there's more to view since words don't always do justice.
