Very similar to the crystal cave in Joplin, MO, where following the cessation of mining, the enormous crystals are no longer above groundwater levels.

Perhaps if we could simply build more ethanol plants and poultry CAFO's we would be able to keep that pesky groundwater away from humans who threaten to drink it.

I would say in the next 5-10 years the crystal cave will be open again. The city historain wants in it bad, but there is alot of politics and alot of property owners that have to come to agree to it all.
