Tunnels under Nashville

Post by White Rabbit »

Caught this newspaper article a while back and thought I'd throw it out here to feed the search engines. Apparently construction of Gateway Boulevard in Nashville, TN keeps getting delayed as they uncover more and more tunnels in the construction site. They have some historic maps of the area, but many of the tunnels are not showing up. If anyone's in TN, might be something cool to check out.

That's awsome. Being the history buff I am I may have to make a special trip out there just to see it.

Nice article, unfortunately though, look at the date. Sept 03. I'm sure the tunnels are long since closed up
I don't know where to start.....

Heading down to Nashville to scout for tunnels is hot on my to-do list. An explorer told me they do indeed have sandstone down there, which is great for tunnels - it's the main reason the Twin Cities has so many of them.
Moo.
