Bethlehem steel

Post by piplnr65656 »

We found the great bethlehem steel mill today. The complex is supposed to be the largest abandoned complex in the world. It stretches for 5 miles long and about 1/2 mile wide. Then the upper complex is 2 miles by 2 miles. There are factorys, mills, offices and even massive apartment buildings all abandoned. This is just a small part of what it used to be. I read that 70 percent of the buildings have been torn down. I did not have time to check much out but this was just a reconisons run for a later mission. I had to get down the road to New York for a dinner meeting and to get a good nites rest as tomorrow we have a date with some ships an abandoned hospital and a tomb.

This place just went on and on. It looked like there was still a lot of stuff in the buildings.

This was the big main original plant in Bethleham PA. I think they had a plant in ohio or IL and one up by niagara falls NY. They also had a big plant near philly.

I thought that might be it. They also had one in Sparrows Point, MD if memory serves. Or that could have been US Steel.
