those pics are beautiful makes me so sad that its torn down. I thought there was a rule like if it had been there over 30 years or something it was considered a landmark and couldnt be torn down. Thats the case with the bowling alley ROSE BOWL...

If that were the case, every building built since 1977 would have to be preserved, which could get really ugly really fast. The hotel is still there, but its days are numbered. The demolition crews are still removing the asbestos inside, and there are few clues that demolition is going on except for a chain link fence around the complex.
