Anyone know anything about the Altus Missile Silos?
I have all the coordinates and maps.
I know that at least six of the twelve are filled in, and they are privately owned.
Only problems I am having is which ones are not filled in.....and also which ones I even have a chance of getting into.
I was just hoping maybe someone here would know.

Believe it or not, my wife's family used to own one of those silos just west of the town of Hobart. They sold it back in the 90's sometime to a local guy, who supposedly has pumped all the water out and is renovating the silo to live in.
As for the ones down in Altus I don't know a thing about them. The one near Hobart was a Nike silo, one of two in that area NE of the airbase at Altus. I'll see if I can find out more about the others.....

believe me, if I had been around back then, I certainly would have! I just found out two weeks ago and I've been in her family since 87!
I will try to find out who the current owner is and see if he will give me a tour!

Altus was a very big b-17 Bomber base during WWII. I might be a buyer for anything related to aircraft that anyone comes across. PM me.thanks

my dream exploration has always been an "atlas" missile base.....fuckin' government had them all filled in....
if it's the last thing i do, i WILL find a way into one of those bases.
If anybody can find one that's not filled in, definitely let me know.
