Dodd City Ghost Town Mines, John Eddings Cave & Rowland

Post by goldjam94 »

Weekend trip driving around the Ozarks, found lots of cool stuff including the longest cave in the buffalo river area and the cave near Blanchard Springs where the Navy Seal diver had a heart attack rescuing some cavers. Also drove past the KKK head quarters. Message is you want locations.

KKK Headquarters. Didn't want to drive up there, the people of zinc didn't come off as overly friendly

I'm a friend of GoldJam94 and went on part of his weekend trip with him. Thought I'd share a few pics I took too.

Wondering if those bobcat footprints are dog. Bobcats retract their claws. Those footprints look like they have claws out.

They're probably dog footprints then. I'm no expert on footprints by any means haha.

Thanks! We found out the mines may be much older than we thought. It looks like some of them may go back to as early as the late 1800s.

Nice finds! I'd love to make it to northern Arkansas to do some mine hunting soon, but I'm moving out of the area by about the end of the month :(
