"The Sacred Projects helped revitalize the Eureka Springs area. Restaurants and hotels expanded, and other entrepreneurs came to the town, making the Eureka Springs the largest Arkansas tourist mecca by 1975. Despite some local criticism of Smith, he was hailed as an area hero and planned another major attraction: a $100 million, Disney-like replica of the Holy Land, including the Great Wall of Jerusalem, the Sea of Galilee, the River Jordan, in which people could be baptized, and scenes from Jesus’s life. Only the wall was finished before Smith died. "
Does the wall still exist?

That is interesting. I had never really looked into who had built the Great Chalk Monster or founded that whole deal down there. It's nice to know that there was a racist, anti-Semite who thought Hitler was just a pawn of the Bolsheviks and the Jews. That's some serious conspiracy thinking there.

I'm sure he's happy now; laying at rest at the bottom of a 70 foot tall milk carton with a tennis ball on top of it.
I hope everyone had a great Easter.

When I took my girlfriend to see the chalk monster after hours she demanded that we have sex on the lawn at its feet... I declined, for fear that it might come to life and smite us. They also have a large portion of the Berlin Wall there, as well as a lame replica of the Liberty Bell. It's a fun place!

Not to mention the creationist natural science museum! See how God created the dinosaurs that coexisted with mankind until the great flood.

Dude, if you're in Iraq you should NOT have to tolerate filtered web surfing. That's bullshit and a half.
