I know it's a haul, but about 20 miles west of Hot springs and 5 miles east of Crystal Springs is the Mayberry Springs Inn. Don't expect Aunt Bea or Andy to greet you at the door, though. This place is supposedly haunted, and even if it isn't, it looks like a cool place to snoop around.

I know the topic as of late seems to be ghost stuff and not just exploration, but it's Halloween, right!?
I just like the exploratory spirit in all of us. Let's capitalize on it, shall we?

Looks like a cool place to check out. I'd like to see it just for its age alone.

So it's just in the middle of nowhere, abandoned? Do you know anything about security around the place?

RE: Mayberry Springs Inn
The last I heard, it IS private property (like that has ever stopped anyone) and I have heard of people asking permission to see it. I have heard of a lot MORE just going at dusk and being sneaky about it. If someone was to take a trip down there, there is all kinds of stuff in Hot Springs to check out as well. That way the trip won't be wasted. Additionally, head south about 45 minutes to the town of Gurdon. There is some light that "floats" down some railroad tracks that's pretty spooky.
