Abandoned Arkansas

Found this resource while searching for something else:

More online investigation than onsite exploration these days.

I helped get them permission to go into Fayetteville hospital. They left me hanging. Good thing I went in before them any way. Too bad my pics are gone. 😥
Btw I'm a douche. That is all...

AbandonedAR is a spinoff of AbandonedOK. Just FYI.   😊
Both of these sites really helped get me going when I first got into this hobby. The Arkansas site is still being updated fairly often, but last I checked, its Oklahoma sister site is pretty outdated.

Hey s.sisco,

This is Michael from AbandonedAR I'm sorry that we left you hanging, but we actually got permission with the library last minute.. Thank you for that lead, again, but it took us months to get permission and we would have invited you had we had more than a days notice.

One thing I found odd about that place was each section of the hospital had a different awful smell. It was certainly bizarre!

Sorry to hear you lost your photos though.
Woah, it's the original ceiling!

Fun fact, I just obtained AbandonedOK back in January and the site is now being updated every week there. I just moved to OKC and trying to get out and explore when I can. Glad you like the sites!

Cool beans.

https://abandonedar.com/fayetteville-city-hospital/
The Fayetteville Hospital property is now part of the library expansion plan.

True story, a few years back, a guy was stealing copper wiring from the vacant hospital and selling it to a local scrapping business just down the road. He was caught by a receipt he dropped in the hospital, from the scrapper, which had his name on it.

I think most people on here know the Hotel Grim renovation is in full swing, and not just wishful thinking again. Supposedly it's for affordable apartments, or low rent. Would make sense, because I'm sure the county jail's yard guard tower is plainly visible from it. I drove past yesterday and seen a guard sitting in it, right there, downtown and near to the Amtrak station. Weird juxtapositioning.

The Lockesburg High School is now a functioning part of the University of Arkansas system, through the Cossatot Community College UA, which has other campuses in Ashdown and Nashville, and it's main campus in DeQueen.
