I'm from Forsyth & know quite a little history. I actually worked with & knew Di Scherling quite well. There's 4 floors & 4th is the most haunted. My ex also did remodeling for Di.

My friend was married there and Di was giving us a tour, we stopped & took a photo in front of one of the rooms. When photo was developed....you could see a flame in the background. When I asked Di about it, apparently when it was a metal hospital a patient wanted out of his room so bad he lit it on fire....

Mental hospital. Had friends work there when it was a nursing home before Di bought it in 2002 I believe.
