Pierce City

Post by c0zm »

In this small town that you may recall was almost completely wiped out by the tornadoes that hit that area a while back, there are several large limestone mines in the side of the hill behind the old saw mill and the gas station. I have heard rumors about there being tunnels connecting these mines and the farm that is near them as you head west out of town. I went in them with my dad when i was younger, like 6 years old or so. They were massive, but then again everything seems big to a little kid. Anyone else seen/heard anything about them?

Also do they have a race track there?

As the town is so small, its really not hard to find. Highway 97 runs right through the middle of town, which you can get to from I44, exit 38 i believe. In the town elm street and 97 are one in the same. Follow elm south, then turn right (west) onto commercial. Its after the cayseys gas station and is right behind the saw mill. I could take a group if anyone is inerested.
