Back to the 80's: A Retro Birthday Dance Party

Post by Underdog »

This Saturday August 1st we shall be traveling back in time to the year 1985 for my birthday. The requirements are that you must be at the below address at 7:30-ish. You MUST dress accordingly for the time period. There will be dancing, 80's music videos mixed with commercials and movie trailers for the time period (yes, we're getting a projector). There will be 80's games, decor, video games, Ecto-Cooler and of course glow sticks. The first 20 people in the door get a free Slap Band/Bracelet as a party favor. Anyone who knows me knows that I will spare no expense for this event. Expect non-stop fun and action. There will be food, but guests are encouraged to bring their own beverage.

My friend is kind enough to loan his 1981 DeLorean DMC for the event. It will be available in the parking lot. As an added bonus there could possibly be a replica of the Ghostbuster's Ecto-1 too. Details are currently being worked out.

When: August 1st
Time: 7:30pm
Where: SW Springfield. (PM me for directions)

Please RSVP if you plan on coming.

Yeah, I know. I'm not talking this Saturday but rather this saturday august 1st. I'd phrase it differently but I can't edit a post after 24 hours.

It will be homemade Ecto-Cooler but its the closest to the taste you can get without spending 75 dollars on ebay per container of Hi-C for it.

There WILL be an unopened back of Doritos from 1984 that we will be opening and eating.

Gasp! 1984 Doritos! The forbidden fruit. I wonder if they'll still be any good?

But if you are going to die, eating Doritos is the way to do it.

yes they smelled like dead mice in 1984 and they likely still do, but will there be Booberry?
