They still haven't determined the cause of the fire, but they suspect that fact that they tore down a UE masterpiece to build luxury condos may have played a role.

I myself never got to go to this place, but a few of my UE friends did. It was all the rage. One of the coolest spots in the Northeast, apparently. No Longer...

That sucks, that place was always one that I wanted to visit (well before they started making it into apartments anyway).

Watch the movie 'Session 9' though and you get to see some pretty cool shots of it before any of the renovations took place....the whole movie was filmed there.

sonofabitch that place was f'n sweet! i recently fell in love with it after browsing random ue photos, determined i must go someday. one of the coolest looking places i've ever seen. damn that sucks.
