The Katrina stuff is long over. The site has been sold at least once, but I'm not sure if the current "plans" are going to be put into action anytime soon.

It's still empty as far as I know, but VERY secure.

Well, that's the key to this whole urban exploration thing... you gotta be a stealthy, gravity defying ninja.

Shit, son. All my urban exploring is done during the day.

Mine usually is. You can see more and get better photos. The couple of times I've been there during the day, I had seen cops driving around the front of the complex, so I didn't really feel up for it.

okay yes, during the day is easier and you get better pictures and you look less conspicous. But at night, its so intense, st mary's at night 2 a.m. on a rainy night. I did one building at night when it was lightining outside and when the entire hallway lights up like a strobe light. WOW. its great. but even on regular nights it just ads a new element.

Yeah, I'm too much of a pansy to do that kind of stuff.

I went through Allenton at night once. That was scary enough. (Sadly, it's all gone now.)

PS The property was finally sold and they will be knocking it down sometime in mid 2007 to develop it into an office complex. Bye Bye Gumbo.
