New guy to the site with a location

Post by H.P. »

Hey guys I was forwarded to this site from a post on a local car site. I was wondering if anyone has seen/been in this facility. It is in ESTL and it can be seen off of I-64. Looks like you can reach it from St. Clair Ave. Thanks and I have enjoyed looking at everyones explorations!

You can't get past the first floor.

But there's some big ass mutant crickets living in the basement with the soggy, nasty cakes of dumped grain.

I know it was called the "Corno Mills" elevator, but that's all I know.

You can walk in through where the dump trucks used to pull in and dump their loads. There's two or three huge concrete hoppers in the floor. There's also a little side room that you can enter, but because the spiral staircase is long gone, there's no way to get past that first floor/loading dock to the higher areas.

There's a seperate stairwell that goes into the basement area, which is mildy interesting.

Here's a link to the Ecology of Absence page on the place.

As I recall, and I could very well be wrong as it's been quite a while since I've been there, the ceiling in the loading dock was like 20 or 30 feet up.

i do.... however i can't get my hands on a really long ladder. Plus, that place is RIGHT down the street from not so nice neighborhoods so i dont want to be up there and have my ladder stolen from under me
