RE: Abandoned mansion south of Olive, west of FeeFee.
Thanks everyone! I'm surprised no one has posted pics before this. This thread has been around for awhile.

The property records indicate that the little brick structure was the pool house.
Interesting that the last sale (2011) included only the land, not the building. I wonder if they plan to demolish it? I know there used to be a proposal for some retail or apartments there, but it never went anywhere.

I live up the street from this place, just thought I'd post an update since the place has been "in development" for years.. It's been cleaned up in the front/re-boarded up. Has a commercial property sign out front, doubt itll ever sell bc of that quarry.
I was there in 2009 and a guy from the park dept was fishing in the quarry. He said when the place was being built the quarry flooded, and most of the construction equipment/vehicles are all at the bottom under the water. We tied some heavy piece of metal from the house onto easily 200+ ft of cable and it didn't hit the bottom. just a TON of huge bubbles coming up.
I took some photos there in 2010 for a stupidass art project before they cleaned up the property around the house. I'll look for them & post.
Place would be so beautiful if it was fixed up, shame it's been so neglected.

I looked at this place on google earth yesterday , you can see the pool filled up and cleaned up-- place looks great!
does anyone know who bought it? anyways, whoever did, good job on saving it !

Look up the property on the assessor's gis and it'll tell you who owns it.lindsey.michelle wrote:does anyone know who bought it?
More online investigation than onsite exploration these days.
