I've been wanting to go in St. Mary's for a while, just waiting to get a big enough group together to go.

Yay for squatters! If you come across a polaroid picutre.....lol (for those who know what I'm talking about) Be mindful of the homeless in this building as there are more then one and try not to piss them off.

That's what grizzly bear mace is for lol. The graphic polaroid that Chris found? Is that the one you speak of?

Yes that is the photo I speak of. After we came across that it kind of made me uneasy in more then one way. But we lucked out that day because it was so f*ing cold that no homeless were around. You have to love the outside wall that has "Man with gun inside" spraypainted on it too.

I just happened to visit this afternoon with a couple of friends. It is almost completely inaccessible (almost....), and for that reason I didn't feel like there was near as much bum activity. I know that there was some, though. In fact, I found the current issue of the RFT inside. Still, it's one of my favorite sites, and didn't fail to impress me all over again. It was getting late when we got there. I want to go back again in full daylight so I can go photo crazy.

Once again, new here. New to forum posting in general. I'm half of Killface Photography (www.xthesanchez.com/killface). We've been dying to get into St. Mary's Infirmary for some time now but haven't had the opportunity (too few people, low light, fear, etc). Let me know if anyone plans to go and would welcome a few tagalongs that aren't new to the experience (just the forums).

Yeah, the only low light situations that deterred us from shooting was Chesterfield Manor. Even with long exposures we got nothing out of most of the building. In this case, low light deterred us because we figured that's when the resident crackhead woke up. And we don't have any bear mace...yet.
