Brewery cave entrance

Look what I found y'all -after much searching.


It's the entrance to one of the sidney street brewery caves...I believe. Anyone up for a look see

What makes you think this is an entrance? That'd be cool if it was, except that (and I'm sure you already noticed this) it appears to have been blacktopped over.

I don't know. I went back today but couldn't remove the manhole cover. I thought the blacktop paving would come up easy...I was wrong. I'll need to use a maul to break it up. It may be that it's a really old sewer access because I noticed another manhole cover had been paved over down the street at the same proximity from the curb. There is anecdotal evidence of a cave access right at that intersection "on the south side of the street". I'm still going to get it opened, if only to ease my curiousity.
