Has anyone done much St. Louis Urban exploration?

Post by CarmeloLabadie »

I was curious if anyone knows anything about urban exploration in St. Louis. I had heard that there are a lot of abandoned mines and tunnels around the St. Louis area. There are a lot of old buildings and abandoned areas so there must be some hidden places worth exploring. I've been too the castle near Bee Tree park but that's about it. Have any of you found any worthwhile places to visit that are off the beaten path and worth seeing?

Plenty of exploration to be had in STL and surrounding areas. Start by cruising the St. Louis threads in this forum. With a little bit of detective work you will find all kinds of good stuff that is still standing and still worth exploration. You'd also be amazed by what just a few hours browsing the local topography in Google Earth will reveal.

More online investigation than onsite exploration these days.
