Carondolet Cave
I live in Benton Park West and after all of the talk about English Cave I started looking into other caves in the area. I have seen several mentions of a cave under Carondolet Park. Does anyone know nything about this or if there is access to it still?

Re: Carondolet Cave
As far as I know there has been no record of a cave under this park. The park area was further away from the City
during the brew caves glory days and those big sinkholes may have been clogged with dirt that prevented easier access
to what would seem like a cave system down below.
When you walk to the bottom of the bigger bowl shaped sinkhole north of the white house it is quite awesome and that would be similar
to the bigger sinks in Benton Park as seen on the Compton and Dry Atlas. Which are filled in.
Below is a photo of the sinkholes in Benton Park in earlier years.
Happy caving!

Re: Carondolet Cave
I made a thread about this a couple years ago. There IS a cavernous void under the park, hence the sinkholes. But today, nothing left but pictures.
