Why do aircraft on the ground need to be more visible? Some commercial aircraft may already have these treatments; but not many?
If planes were painted in flourescent or reflective colors, the chances of being blinded in the air would far outweigh any advantage that would be gained on the ground.
And soon, in the air, all aircraft will be able to take advantage of GPS traffic separation.
What's the big deal?
