Running from cops is a bad bad horrible idea. Jail time. I got a lecture on that from my buddy tonight.

Anne wrote:The purple paint is the same, but *someone correct me if I'm wrong* it won't hold up in a court of law. Meaning it's not a legal in the books and our consititution way of saying no trespassing, it just means the same. I really hope that made sense.
Yeah it will. *nodding* It was implemented a few years ago by the MO Dept. of Conservation as an alternative to No Hunting/No Tresspassing signs, primarily for farmland where too many people jumped fences to hunt. It's a hell of a lot easier to spraypaint a tree every twenty-five yards or so than it is to nail a sign to a tree every same distance.

It will hold up in court, though.

Really? I hadn't heard that yet. I didn't even know about purple paint meaning no trespassing until a couple weeks ago anyways. Thanks for correcting me on that! :)

So, then are colorblind people exempt from the law?

I guess if purple is a color they have trouble with. But I'm sure if they saw paint on something and knew about the purple paint rule and ignored it knowing that paint was a good chance of being purple. I bet they still get in trouble.

The purple paint thing is a bit of a catch 22 anyway. If you know about it you must be like us and have an intention of tresspassing, or be an asshole property owner. But it only helps to warn someone who would not intentionaly tresspass, and those people would never know.
