Oh, I hope they will do something with it, but I don't want to see it torn down any more than you do.

go f**k yourself ,shopping malls in thier abandoned glory are my life.......that is part of this hobby you know....
Hearse.. I understand what you say. But the problem is with this one is that the KCPD is actively patrolling it. At this point they will be coming down hard on anyone that tries to break in because of the copper thieves.

That would be freakin sweet. Or make it a mall themed go kart track. :D
What's the point of making a point if the point you are trying to make is pointless? Do you get my point?

Shoot, just take your go kart up there and drive around the parking lot. They probably won't try to stop you as long as you don't try to break in.

But you know how much fun it would be to fly through a mall on a go kart. I've always wanted to do it in the Battlefield Mall. :D

I dunno. I never saw that place as go-kart territory. Something about it just doesn't scream go-karts to me. Of course, your mileage may vary.

I watched the area develop, I've shopped there, I've read the thread. The only time I was ever on alert was one time the wifey and I were in Bannister Mall, this was probably close to twenty years ago. There was a big bunch of rowdy kids in the commons area and it was time for it to shut down. At the time, Bannister was making a big deal out of rent-a-cops they had to escort you to your car. There were none to be seen. This was before CCW. I had a big lockback in my pocket, so I wasn't too scared. I was surely watching things though. The Luby's there was excellent. I told the wife though that we weren't going back due to the rudeness of the locals. Too bad.

What astounds me is how fast an area like this can go from big-time to nothing. Everything just went overnight and now there's nothing. Not due to a lack of customers-just because the locals ran folks off. Strange.

Kind of sad to think that this place is sitting dark and empty on Black Friday. It sucks to think a mall has seen its last Christmas.

I was up there all last weekend on some business. I went by Indian Springs Mall for the first time in many years. That place looks like one of those Apocalypse or Zombie flicks. I can remember getting my first down coat there.

More online investigation than onsite exploration these days.

Actually, I have checked it out. I thought I referenced it in the first post.

(Hums theme to Blues Brothers and wonders if you can do the same thing in a Saturn...)
