Its unreal how they raped the landscape to build this development, only to have it and the money invested go to complete waste. Glad the government did step in when runoff started contaminating Table Rock Lake.

Yeah, it is crazy how the original owner put over a billion into it, the banks put millions into it, and then 2008 hit, and with over half the condos done, they suddenly stop like the whole project had been insanity from the start. The only thing that changed was some numbers on paper, and they go from major construction, to letting the place just corrode and erode. It boggles the mind that our society functions worse than a blind mouse if imaginary numbers change.

When you look at the site on Google Earth, roads appear to go back quite a ways. Looks like I will be exploring this sometime soon.

I drove by there last weekend and it looks like something might be starting back up there. Looked like some equipment was there and the roads had been driven on recently. Starting that development up again would be a waste cause the houses are about to rot to nothing.

The infrastructure is still there, though, and for the right price it might be worthwhile.

Not all the houses were rotting, most had good roofs. A couple of the finished ones could be gutted and rebuilt.

So, I was down in Branson this weekend and there was a ton of people exploring Indian Ridge, and I'm like, "what's up with that?"

UPDATE: Silver Dollar City bought the property and demoed all the condos. They've not released any statements about what they plan to do with the property.
