late 1800-early 1900s maps.

Post by dawgchain »

My mother just purchased a disc with a bunch of old maps of missouri from the afore meantioned time periods. We are not sure what areas yet, but she will know when the disc gets here next week. I will try to make them available to see soon.

Where'd she get this disk? Do they have old maps for other states? Like perhaps Oklahoma?

I'm actually really bored. It's cold and kind of raining here. We've tracked Santa on the radar and the kids are watching Hidalgo.....................

I would love to have a good disc of maps. Some show platted towns that no longer exist. Good metal detector material. I did buy an old soil map of Greene County that shows roads, towns, some cemetaries, even a lot of individual buildings that existed in 1913.

Are any of the maps road maps from 1920 or so up? I collect old road maps, both oil company issued and officials.

Let everybody know how the maps are! I'd like to see what kind of maps this person might have of OKC!

Heck, the area topo maps were originally done in like the 40s, then later updated in 72 with Purple on the maps. On occasion(almost monthly) the MSU library will throw a bunch of old maps into a "Free" bin in the maps department... the RACCCC happens to snatch those up every so often. :P
