Grandpa stories strikes a cave ??!!

Me grandpappy was telling me of his young years and told me of a cave they use to go in was actually a sinkhole had to repell down into it and it went back 130 ft or so im going to ask were the cave is when i see him for christmas.

Grandpa Grand hit a gusher!

Keep us posted on this one. I've heard a lot of rumors about 100+ ft sinkholes in these parts, but I've yet to actually see one with my own eyes.

If we do find this sinkhole, better repelling equipment might be in order... holding onto a half inch rope tied to a pointy rock while repelling down rotten trees into a hole that was at least two stories high was a bit frightening. Gotta love ritter...

I talked to David Harrison that owns Glenstone Block (also a children's author) and he used to go into some caves in Springfield when he was younger. He has a bear skull that someone gave him when he was a kid that came out of one of those caves. He said that things have changed so much in Springfield that relocating those old caves is next to impossible.

Yeah didn't ask him cause grandma went into hospital for surgery (Lung Cancer) not going to bother him right now about it.

I got some info it is east of highway 13 and by a place called fulbright pumpstation its north of town it is actually north of fulbright pumpstation and its over a bluff by a spring.

No he didn't he just he use to go there all the time when he was kid which that was about 48 years ago.
