RE: Hydraslide
Ah, Hydraslide. I only went a few times, as I was a big chicken as a child. It was a lot of fun, once I got the corncob out my ass about it. I only remember a couple of things about it. They gave you those mat things to ride on, and I made it to the pool at the bottom about 1/3 of the time with mat in hand. The rest of the time I rode on the concrete. On one such matless occasion, I managed to jump tracks on a turn and slammed my tailbone a goodone on the concrete. Before long, the world is going to be so sanitized that kids will live in little plastic globes with oxygen hooked up and a pass-through where broccoli can be administered for food.

A few people that i know rode their honda 50's up and down the slide, sounds kinda fun.
I used to go there all the time when i was younger, i loved switching lanes, i wish that place was still open.

I'm pretty sure it won't snow this year, or ever again (can you remember the last good snow we got?), but if it does, I'm game. I'd also like to sled down Snow-Bluff if the weather's ever right. Snow Bluff's not 100% abandoned, but the skiing portion of it has been closed for a long time.

Lol i say we put huge plastic mats down the slides and get a hose...................... then later at the hospital we can rethink our old ways.

RE: Hydraslide
i'm thinking one of those snow dishes would work best, but really there may not be enough slope on those slides to maintain enough speed to overcome the friction

Re: Hydraslide
Actually, if anyone knows something I could carry around with me that might fit in my toolbox, I'd like to keep something on hand just in case I'm ever in Springfield the next good snow we get. My raft might work, but I feel like it'd be too big.
