Public Cave Tours of Doling Park's Outdoor Underground Classroom Cave, Oct. 21-23 and 29. Fee is $2 per person; $5 for a family of four. For a list of times offered and to register, call 837-5808.

We blew it for this weekend, but I called the number and picked Melvin Johnson (he's the guy in charge of the cave), and his voicemail says that they're doing cave tours the 29th and 30th, even though the Newsleader only says the 29th. Supposedly, 2:30-4:30pm on the 30th.

Who wants to go? I can only do it on the 30th. So, I'm gonna call during business hours and make sure that recording is right.

Meh... it's cool to finally get to go in Doling Cave, it being so tantalizing and all, but having been on a couple of tours already I can tell you they're pretty restrictive. I'm not really interested in going back unless I can have a little more freedom to roam, not just "Well, there's the waterfall. Time to go home!"

Although, just because the tour of the cave ended doesn't mean the exploring for the day has to, not far from the Holiday/Days Inn, or Keyhole cave.

Maybe you all know some places too.

I am up for the 29 or the 30th. My friends and I tried calling Melvin numerous times durring the week to see about tour times on Sunday, but that man never returns calls *STILL has not CALLED*

i think im working that day until 7pm and it really CHAPS MY ASS! so the only thing keeping me from strangling everyone in my path that day will be the anticipation of meeting all you fine people afterwards

Ok so we need two follow-up locations, one for everyone to go hang out and meet-n-greet..... and one to tell hiccup we're going to so we can tell hiccup, whil we have fun.

I did this tour last year, and wasn't completely disappointed, but wasn't knocked out, either. Lot of people I didn't know breathing my air in a small cave. The group get together sounds like it could make it worth doing.

yeah, im not really dying to see the cave or anything, but after seeing how many people are probably going makes me dying to go

so, yeah, ya'll hang out afterwards and keep yourselves entertained and ill meet up with everyone after my stupid job *gives puppy dog eyes through batting eyelashes*

actually, id really like to see that hotel too but dont wait to do that on my account--i just mostly want to meet cool new ppl
