I've got 4 updates coming.

Up first, the final look at Mechanical City "Building #1". This building is now demolished as of, well now.

Coming up, I will be posting the abandoned funeral home who left one of their residents behind.. a Barite Processing plant and some of the weirdest shit I've ever come across. Stay tuned.

When did you go to Mech City? If not long ago, it may not be demoed yet, looks like a lot of concrete and rebar to break up.
More online investigation than onsite exploration these days.

Also, while I hate to give media attention to abandoned places. Someone should probably alert the authorities and/or media about the body at the funeral home, just so it can get a proper burial.

Like maybe an anonymous tip or something.

Nope, see that's why I'm posting it now. Some fools already got heat for posting photos of the dead body while it was still there. Then some other dumbasses stole the skull. Now that they were required to pull their photos down and the body is gone, I can post it without worrying about authorities telling me to pull it down. I saw all that coming a mile a way and waited patiently for it to happen and be over with. 8)

It really bugged me how the local cops had known about it for years, yet it never got buried. They were supposed to have been "watching over" the place, but obviously failed to do so very well, both at the time we went, then later while others stole pieces from the body.

The Barite Mill

This place was fun albeit a bit boring.

So to make up for a boring one, I'll post the funeral home later today.

The body was a lot messier than I imagined. Although I'm not sure why I thought it wouldn't be nasty.

And that hospital is creepy and awesome as hell. I freaked some people out who were walking down the road. I was playing happy birthday on the piano and I guess they heard it because they stopped and were starring at the building. It was funny.

I want to go back there just for the purpose of getting a picture of me sitting on that horse. I sort of tried standing it up but it didn't feel too structurally stable.

Funeral home is up now. Not sure how long I'll leave up the photo of the body. Part of me says it's ok since it's been cleaned up now, but I also think maybe I shouldn't post that. Eh?

I guess that depends on if you think it's either too gross to show or disrespectful to the dead person and/or their family.

Find the morgue? I'm sure you looked for one.

Fucking weird assholes turned the basement/morgue area into a living space. No sign of coolers or slabs but there was a large wide doorway in the area most likely to be the morgue. Was very disappointed about that.
