I wouldn't mind a bumper sticker, either.

It seems that any effort to destroy a site is a disrespect for the site. To make a distinction between active and inactive, or between buildings and caves is like splitting hairs. If I used an old warehouse as a getaway to read a book, then I am giving the building meaning. If the building has meaning beyond that, so be it.

An old building is no different from a cave or an occupied home. If I would never dream of tagging my grandmother's house, then why would I break a lock to a building that is a (abeit temporary) "fortress of solitude"?

(wow. I'm longwinded.)

man i didn't think so many of you had morals about this.

my rule is if it takes more that three people to kick down a door, more than one cutting bit to cut through something, or more than 12 oz of exlposives, it's off limits.

that was partly a joke.

Personally I like to think I earn my right to enter an abandoned building... (ie. know more history about it then the owner)

Just learned about the artist Gordon Matta-Clark. Now what he did is taking it to far. He snuck into an empty building and cut a huge wedge shaped hole in the West side of the building for his art. The piece is called Days End I believe. He got arrested upon leaving the building and pretty muched doomed it for demolition according to my teacher.
