Rooftop Conquests - How many can YOU claim?

you won't get peed on by hobos on roofs...just in that one taxi building.

I was up on the roof of Landers Theatre last year, but a guy was going to commit suicide from that roof like a week later, so now they made it pretty hard to get up there. The Vandivort has a ladder like 10 ft. up on the back of their building, though....and the buildings kind of connect, so you can jump around to a few places.

nowhere near as fun as the roofs in LA though....

Also, I can get anyone on the top of the hughes brothers theatre in branson beacuse used to take voice there....but its really not exciting at all. Only 2 stories.

Shadowbearer and I almost got on the roof of the PSU, but the door was locked...sigh...stupid doors.

Well, by those standards I almost got on the roof of every building on campus!

question.. do the huge signs in front of stores count? Like the two big LOWES signs on norton. If so, add them both now.

Answer: Yes!
Billboards count. In fact, I'm going to say anything of any significant height can and will be counted. This includes smokestacks, silos, telephone poles, and whatever else you're stupid enough to climb. I've been climb crazy again lately! Somebody stop me!

While I have been to the top floor of the plaza towers - and there's a nice little observation area in the lobby up there - I wasn't able to gain rooftop access. Also, unlike most buildings downtown, there's no practical way of scaling the building's exterior.

What was it that kept you from getting up there? To many people?

This was several years ago, but either the door to the roof was locked, or I just couldn't find it. I forget exactly what happened, but most respectable places of business don't just leave their rooftop access open for visitors, you know.

Well, i got a plan for the Plaza Towers. There are therapy groups and what not that go on up there, so just pretend to be crazy, lost, and pretend to have an OCD condition where you have to open every door in a building. Eventually you should find a stairwell with Roof Access (from the ground you can see that there is a door that opens onto the roof that faces west and is on the north side of the building)

Yeah, the problem wasn't that I didn't check the doors, it was that they were locked. I mean, doors to sensitive areas like rooves and basements typically are. If you do happen to find an unlocked door in a place like that you're extremely lucky. The only way I see of getting up there, other than lockpicking (which I do NOT endorse) would be if you worked there, or were some kind of electrician.

In other news, I noticed the billboard outside the new Buckingham's BBQ (across from the NT Mall) is not only impressive, but appears very climbable. Also, I'll give a shiny $1 bill to the first person to shimmy up one of those garbage chutes downtown
