Underground Ozarks in the Springfield News-Leader???

Post by White Rabbit »

I got an email today from a guy who wanted to let me know about the tunnel. Near the end of the email he said:
You have a great site, I found out about it in the News-Leader.
My eyes about bugged out of my head. WHEN was Underground Ozarks in the News-Leader??? Does anyone know anything about this? I'm freakin' out here, and I can't turn anything up on the News-Leader's site or on Google.

That's the really aggravating part. The guy didn't leave an email address in the comment form.

And you know, I'd think it was just a crank email or something, but the guy went to the trouble to describe this particular tunnel in downtown Joplin that he knew about. It could be a joke, but it didn't seem like it.

Couldn't find any reference to Underground Ozarks on their site in searches.

you may have found out by now, but yes this site was in thursdays News (mis)Leader, in section 2C. Thats how I found the site and a few others. I like the site, reminds me of my younger splunking days. I may dust off the old equipment and go out again.

The article is about local blogs and blogers. There are pictures and interviews with some local blogers like the moxie and others. There is a big picture of this sites blog page right above a list of local blogs. I still have my copy if you can't track down another one. Other than the pic, I don't think it mentions anything about this site.

I just got my hands on a copy of the article.

Woooooooo HOOOOOOO!

Finally, some fucking publicity! I'm so pumped. It doesn't mention Underground Ozarks at all in the article, but at the end it has a list of local blogs which we're included in.

But, of all the blogs, they only showed a screenshot of one of them. Ours! A big freaking picture of the UO Blog right on the second page.

I love it.
