I found this on another web page. It makes us sound like social outcasts on the fringe of society. IMHO.

I'm a threat to the safety of citizens? I'm sorry but that article was a little off. How is my going somewhere most people wouldn't dare go be a threat? A threat of learning a piece of our history, seeing what machines were used back in the day, finding an interesting room or coridor? :? Maybe I just took that article wrong but I read it like this was a completely wrong and immoral thing to do and it could destroy all civilization.
Excuse the rant.

This asshole seems to be offended that anybody could like something outside the mainstream. I wonder if h/sh/it heckles customers at indie record stores?

The very places most despised by decent people, storm drains, rooftops, and sub-basements, are irresistible to urban explorers. They move easily through safety barriers and security perimeters, heedless of warning signs, alarms and armed guards.
Yeah, it's called having a sense of adventure. Hasn't this dude ever seen an Indiana Jones movie? By this guys definition even archaeologist are a threat to society's grasp.

There are always going to be critics about every subject known to man but this guy can't even debate his way through a paper bag.
The 'Urban Exploration' movement is a threat to the safety of all citizens. It shows no signs of abating. Study the movement's web-sites the sites to avoid being blindsided. But know that no amount of research will prepare the reader for the street-level reality of the urban explorers.
Erm, ok..but what he doesn't answer in this article is WHY we are dangerous? Does he mean that our ways our just different than mainstream and therefore wrong? Maybe he means we should be devoting our time to sports or spending extra time on homework. This article is ridden with logical fallacies.

I had my mom read this and the only thing she could come up with is that while we're poking around in a tunnel we find a doorway to the little men living in the core of the earth that will get pissed off and kill all humans. But since that's unlikely who knows.

That was pretty entertaining. He made it sound a lot more hardcore than it really is.

Yeah it kinda made me feel like we are high tech jewel or art thieves. Or maybe a Mad Max like post apocalyptic motorcycle gang.

He made me feel like I was an illegal trespasser... oh wait.

On a more serious note however, that is the first completely negative article I've seen about UE. It's a pity really. I especially dislike how he starts. I don't think he did enough research and only focused on the publicized, childish side of it. ::sigh:: :(

You know, he made it sound a lot like Fight Club, but with sneaky ninja skills.

Does that make White Rabbit Brad Pitt/Whossname?

Actually, I do tend to think twice about high tech security systems and armed guards. It's not like I used cutthroat computer hacking skills whilst exploring an abandoned building. I have no sweet skills.
