$4 is cheap, but if you don't open holes very often, a bent piece of rebarb will work. Look around construction sites.

Not trying to be a smart ass but that prybar is actually a tool called a drift pin. Mostly used by steel workers to line up holes in pre-drilled beams or perlins so that they can fit the pieces together to insert the bolts, but yes its secodary purpose is to be a prybar, and some also have a flatspot opposite the curved part on the top that is a steel hammer.

Nah that's not a drift pin. How do I know this? I happen to be an iron worker and have used drift pins. Here's where I work: http://www.eurekaforge.com/
